Ken Oiwa, an Investment Manager in Newcastle, is one of only two
people in the country to get a distinction in his Securities and
Investment Institute exam in Portfolio Construction Theory.
Ken, who has been with Brewin Dolphin for just under two years,
is understandably delighted, “To achieve a distinction in a
national exam is very satisfying and I believe, is representative
of the high standard of training and development available
from my firm.”
Charles May, Managing Director, commented, “Ken’s
result was exceptional and he was one of four trainee Investment
Managers in Newcastle to pass exams this summer”.
Originally from Japan, Ken was educated in the UK at a school in
the midlands and then Leeds University.
He was recruited by Brewin Dolphin after a very successful work
experience placement and he has never looked back. “I really
enjoy investment management; I like the contact with clients and
the work I carry out in analysing companies and market trends which
then allows Investment Managers to put together a client’s
portfolio of stock, shares and other equity related investments. In
addition there is a strong ethos of teamwork and fun which makes
working life speed along!”
