Bell Lawrie announces new Regional Managing Director for Scotland and Northern Ireland

Bell Lawrie is delighted to announce that Henry Algeo has been appointed to the Board of Brewin Dolphin Limited and Regional Managing Director of its Bell Lawrie Division, following David McCorkell’s recent promotion to become the Head of Private Clients for the Brewin Dolphin Group. The Bell Lawrie Division includes Aberdeen; Dumfries; Dundee; Edinburgh; Elgin; Glasgow; Inverness and the Northern Ireland office in Belfast.

After graduating in 1974, Henry joined the London broking firm of Simon & Coates, moving two years later to the Belfast office of Capel Cure Myers. He joined Josias Cunningham and Company in 1986, becoming a Partner the following year. He became a Director upon incorporation in 1990 and was appointed Finance Director in 1998 and Managing Director in 2002. In May 2005 Henry Algeo played a leading role in the set up of Bell Lawrie’s Belfast office and assumed joint responsibility for the management of the Branch which has now built up a team of fifteen executives.

Brewin Dolphin is the largest independent private client investment manager in the UK managing £21 billion of funds for more than 100,000 clients; of this, £10 billion is on a discretionary basis. The Group has 38 offices of which eight are in the Bell Lawrie region. The Group provides complete investment management for private investors, charities and pension funds and is corporate adviser to around 140 small and medium sized quoted companies.
